VOLUNTEERING

As a 501 c3 non-profit, charitable contributions are essential to our survival. Accordingly, the participation of our volunteers is the back-bone of our rescue. It is through their unwavering commitment, and tireless efforts, that we are able to save the lives of so many precious dogs. As a result, we always seek to acquire more helping hands to aid us in carrying out our mission.

THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Our volunteers are dedicated people who share a common desire to give rescue dogs a second chance. They include high school students, graduate students, artists, doctors, lawyers and retirees. They help us clean cages and kennels, switch out bedding, manage any special needs, provide fresh water and a balanced diet, and train and teach our animals basic behavior and socialization skills. They also write bios of our animals, take pictures and create videos to help market our dogs, design flyers to canvas in our community, and provide customer service to facilitate adoptions. As a volunteer, you will have the unique opportunity to work with animal professionals and acquire basic skills in caring for and rehabilitating animals.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PROCESS

To volunteer for our program, there is an application process. Each candidate must submit an application, attend an interview, participate in a background check, and complete our orientation. This information will be available on this page during our open application times. At this time, our program is at capacity. However, we will be inviting new volunteers to participate soon, so please check back with us. If you have any questions, please contact us.
